AGX AI joined World Agri-Tech San Francisco to connect with leading innovators, investors, and industry partners shaping the future of AI in agriculture. Our team built relationships with key stakeholders across the event, expanding the network of contributors and collaborators driving the AGX AI Community of Practice forward.
We also helped facilitate the Benchmarking Workshop: Mapping AI Adoption in Ag, bringing together cross-sector leaders to tackle one of the most pressing challenges in agricultural AI: how do we know if it’s actually working? The session built on foundational work first convened by AGX AI at the Gates Foundation in Seattle, and carried that momentum forward with a growing coalition of aligned voices.
The conversations produced real clarity around what responsible AI adoption in agriculture needs to look like. Trust is the central barrier — and benchmarking is emerging as a key tool to close the gap between what AI can do and what farmers and advisors can confidently rely on. Participants aligned around the need for practical, context-specific frameworks built on real-world use cases, with particular attention to smallholder farmers and Global South contexts. AGX AI will continue advancing this work as part of our broader mission to support evidence-based, human-centered AI adoption across the agricultural sector.
